I was trying to find out why my filament was not coming out of the nozzle even after heating the hotend.
I decided to try extruding through the repetier host software, but I noticed that instead of extruding the filament was being retracted.
I then realized that when trying to extrude through the repetier host software that the extruder motors move backwards which retracts the filament.
I then tried to manually push the filament back down and it started flowing.
I'm not too sure if this would mean any trouble for my prints.

I guess your extruder motor has a wrong direction,you should modify it in the firmware:
