Geeetech m201 under extrusion

Post by Warwick »

Hi,
I have put together a new Geeetech Prusa I3 M201 printer.
XYZ works perfectly
Extruders work
But the print is like a fine mesh.
Bed is level with gap 0.2
How do I increase the flow?
Thanks

A fine mesh? How did it look like? And how about extruding with you hand pushing down the filament?
You can increase the flow in slicer settings:

Thanks it looks like a fine tea strainer about 0.1 apart.
Pushes by hand fine.
How much to increase multiplier?

Thanks

The mesh looks like a fine tea strainer.
The filament pushes by hand easily.
How much would you increase the flow settings?
Thanks

Usually, the value ranges 0.9~1.1,i set it to 1 most of time.
You said the filament came out normally when you pushed by hand,so maybe the extruder part has a problem somewhere?
I think you can check it by referring the following post:

Thanks It now works fine. Set it to 1.1 and makes good print.
Most impressed with the advice and speed of reply. Many thanks
