Power supply failed

Post by Bazbot »

The power supply unit on my 3D printer failed half way through a print last night. The printer wouldn't be older than six months, what's the warranty on this?

Thanks for the reply. Yeh it's 0V. The fuse on the AC side is blown but to get to it you have to break the warranty seal to open it up and find the problem. Just a bit of side info, I'm an electrician so it's more just the warranty info I'm after rather than fault finding.

I brought it from eBay, the person I messaged was called lemon. The model is a prusa i3 pro b. I don't have any photos and I'm not too keen to plug it back in after it made a bright flash when it failed

They need some pictures to confirm it is the PSU problem not other parts, you can attach some photos about the broken component you mentioned before if you can't test the output with a multimeter.

these are the photos that i took, the meters are switched around the AC volts is reading the probes on the left and the DC volts are reading the probes on the right. The terminals are all correct.

There's no output on DC...
Contact Lemon to solve it.
