I've a couple of "enhancements" which I reckon improve the 3D printing experience, nothing fancy:
A solution to filament miss-feeding and jamming on the spool:
I added a bent wire coat hanger, some garden wire and a tarpaulin eyelet to ensure the filament always feeds from the centre of the spool. Works a treat!

I've also noticed that people have designed and printed ingenious devices to light the hot bed so that the print can be monitored during printing.
I just added an adjustable Ikea LED spotlight, simple, and doesn't look out of place when clipped to the printer.

This is the Ikea spotlight for those interested.
I hope these ideas may be of use to others
Play Bonny!
