BIQU GT2560 not connecting
BIQU GT2560 not connecting
Ive just received the board today and Ive tried connecting it to my PC to flash the software. When I connect the USB to the board I get no lights at all. No sounds from my computer indicating something was connected and no popups saying that a driver is installing or that a new USB device was found.
I CAN however connect it to a power supply and get all the lights and such. Ive tried multiple USB cables and multiple USB ports on my computer and get nothing. I would really like to get this board working soon as Ive been down a week and have several projects to complete. Any help would be appreciated.
Just to clarify so y'all dont immediately start posting links to drivers and other posts about similar issues, Ive spent roughly 4 hours doing every google search I can think of and have read several posts on this site. I could not find anything that pertained to my particular issue. I believe I have a dead USB port and need to start the retun/replace process with Amazon (bought there but fufilled by BIQU).

Re: BIQU GT2560 not connecting
I'll just start by asking the obvious question first. Did you have the board powered up when you plugged it into your computer? It won't work without power.
Re: BIQU GT2560 not connecting
Considering that all the other posts I've looked at didn't require the board to be connected to an outside power supply, also that anytime I plug a board into a USB port on my computer AND external 12v or 24v the USB port on the board either burns out or the cable starts to overheat, no I didn't.
I've initiated a return to Amazon amd will purchase another board and see what happens.

Re: BIQU GT2560 not connecting
Ok so Ive gotten my new board. I plugged it in with just the USB first and got the same thing. So I plugged the power into the board and then plugged in the USB. I still not getting any connection notifications from windows. Is there software I need to download before the computer will see it?
Well I spoke to soon it seems. I opened Device Manager and found that there was new hardware listed. I told windows to update it and it is currently in the middle of trying to download it. But its either not working or there is no software to download. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

It seems that hardware can't update successfully in spite of you get a new board, It indicates that the board is ok but the driver wrong, here is a Link about how to work out the similar issue.

Re: BIQU GT2560 not connecting
Windows 10 pulled a win from left field. Managed to get the drivers installed and the board recognized as COM5. I even managed to load Marlin to the board. Only thing is, now Im not able to get my LCD display working with it. I have the u8glib library included in the uplaod, but its not working. The printer doesnt seem to be excepting commands from the computer either. I have just the x axis plugged in as of now and it doesnt move or home.
