Problems while printing
Problems while printing
Hey - i´m new in betatesting the E180 ;)
my main-problem is:
while printing after a unspecific time the extruder stucks and not enough filament came to the nozzle -> Printing impossible -> bad printing -> Out for Trashcan. On the next printing there is again the same problem or even not! ... this "feature" is completely random!
My first idea was that the role on the filament-stand is to heavy to pull it for the extruder but i have checked it: this problem is only a problem from the motor on the extruder - he stucks sometimes coincidentally. i can´t spend time and money to try 20 prints to get out 1 good item.
what kind of problem is it ? otherwise i must return it to Geeetech (buyed by Amazon).
Thank you!

Re: Problems while printing
Could you upload the setting of your printer?
The filament block in the nozzle:
1.Heating the temp of nozzle up to 210C
2.Remove the Teflon cube and then clean it with the ejector
3.Check the retraction distance/speed of your setting
Retraction distance:2.5~4mm
Retraction speed:40mm/s~50mm/s
4.Set correct temp of the nozzle
PLA:190~210C
5.Increase the voltage of A4988(extruder motor driver board)-------Blue type:0.6~0.9V

Re: Problems while printing
Hello! Thanky for your reply!
The Settings (see attached Pictures)
1. Heating is anytime 210C - The EasyPrint can set it coincidentally to 175C and then i can emergency stop :(
2. Remove the Teflon Cube - What is that ?
3. The retraction speed is an mystery: the gear on the filament-Input (i don´t know how it names) stucks and the filament came not smooth in the printer. it sounds "knuggling" and the filament springs back some mm and so on while printing.
4. the Temp of the Noozle is already set by 1. (or not) ?
5. i don´t want to disassembly the printer and change any parts of it. i´m user and no engineer.

Re: Problems while printing
Hello!
The Tube is okay (clear and well formed). Please can you take a look of my EasyPrint3D Settings ? I will know that the settings perfect!
btw: Firmware-Updates:
The next fault on this Printer is the different display of FW-Version. EasyPrint3D tells a other FW-Version as i can see on the LCD Info. Geeetech´s FW-Tools also unable to see whats on.

Re: Problems while printing
Settings okay.
Wich type of filament and manufacturer you are using?
Geeetech 1.75mm PLA filament?
It is not good to use the cheapest filament, because the quality is low and the diameter tolerance bad.
