Extruder stepper motor does not turn.

Post by Geee-rod »

I am having an issue with my extruder on my Pro B.

Initially I was having with it during printing where it would be in the middle of printing and then the extruder would decide to reverse the flow of extrusion and would cause the filament to come out of the extruder.

I decided to replace the motherboard - GT2560 Rev A+ & stepper motors A4988

I updated the firmware to Marlin Arduino 1.1.8

Now, I am not sure if it is the stepper drivers or the both the boards but only the Extruder stepper motor ceases to turn at all on either board. I have tried to use the new stepper driver and the old and still the extruder refuses to turn.

I have purchased more stepper drivers.

Can anyone offer other solutions if they have been through this themselves????

This may be a lack of good contact in the socket of the stepstick module.

One of the pins controls the direction of rotation of the motor.
In the event of an incorrect contact, the motor will always rotate in one direction.

I wish you patience in analysing and solving problems.
On the forum I help to use the rod, I don't give fish.
