multiple Problems

Post by sisco »

Hello everyone,
I have multiple Problems regarding my new pursa i3 :
1)when i heat the bed or the extruder, the LCD blinks and shows Err:Mintemp
2)I cant move the X or Y axis at all, it seems there is no connection between my host and the printer, although the screen displays fine and it shows it is connected .
3)the light on the bed is never on and the fan is never turned on.

1. When the LCD displays "Error:Mintemp", you should the if all thermistors are plugged well and correctly.
2. Firstly, please make sure the baud rate is 250000. If you want to move the axis separately, you should have all the axes auto home.
3. The light on bed is LED unidirectional conduction, in other words, although heating bed (you can regard it as a resistor) is not effected by connecting the wires in any order, but the LED is not on if you connect the wires in wrong order, but that's not a big deal.
How did you connect the fan? Can you take a photo?

How about connecting the fan to another fan slot?
The LCD still displays "mintemp error". Did you turn the printer off and turn it on again? I think after doint that, it will not display error any more.
The extruder motor can not move unless the temperature is more than 180 degrees. You can heat up the extruder and hot bed by clicking these two icons:

i have tried to connect the fan to another slot, and i have unplugged the usb and power cables ....same thing.
Regarding the extruder , i cant heat it at all, as soon as it starts heating, reaches 35 degrees, the error is on the screen, so i will never move it,

am thinking of ordering a new thermistor for the bed,and maybe a new sanguinololu board...what do you think?

As you can see on the mainboard, there are 3 slots for connecting fans, please use a multimeter to test their output voltage respectively. If they are all 12V, we can conclude that the fan is dead, otherwise there is something wrong with the mainboard.
As the thermistor, I don't think it is abnormal, because it is normal before the temperature reaches 35 degrees. On the contrary, I think it is firmware issue. Let's check if it is firmware issue. I've sent the firmware to your register email, please check.

First, The output of the 3 fan slots is the same (3v) which i think it the fan problem, also i have measured the voltage on the bed thermistor, it is about 4.41 v....which means it is working fine...i think it came to the board and the firmware....waiting for your firmware email....hope it changes something
