extruder and bugs
extruder and bugs
received it 5 days ago, many bugs on pdf file (bad plug locations) and at the first power up the power supply fuse burn out so replace it and unplug the board cable from de power supply then 2 other fuses burn out so I replace the power supply with an old one I had here now it's working with many other bugs opérations and the extruder still not working stepper is ok I test it on x drive and the temp is ok do you have the last firmware for the GT-2560 board and do you have an idea for the extruder why it's not working.....?????
waiting some feedback ASAP Thank you Yves Boivin

Re: extruder and bugs
To protect the extruder motor, it can not move unless the temperature is more than 180 degrees.
Re: extruder and bugs
the temperature when I tried it was at 210 for the extruder and 95 for the table

Re: extruder and bugs
Now let check something in order:
1. Check if extruder motor driver (A4988)is fine: swap extruder motor driver with x motor driver (a fine driver), then click auto-home, if x moves, the motor driver is fine.
2. Check if it is firmware issue: The firmware has been sent to your email, please refer to this page to upload it:http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=16433
3. Test if ther are 2 groups of 12V DC voltage from PSU, if there are, the PSU is fine.
4. Test if there is AC voltage between GND and any pin of extruder motor slot (You must plug A fine A4988 before testing), keep moving the extruder motor so that you have enough time to test the voltage.

Re: extruder and bugs
1. I tested on x motor drive and it move fine no problem
2. I upgraded the firmware too it's ok
3. The original PSU is defective had to replace it with an old one I had here and it's working
4. the temperature of the extruder heat up to 210 degres and the bed to 95 degres no problem and it did the calibrating pattern well too all the unit working well except that nothing going out of the extruder maybe when the PSU power up the first time something burn too on the control board I think but you're the expert from now on the I3 Pro B working with an old PSU cause the original one is defective always burning fuse at power up so waiting for other possibility from you thank you

Re: extruder and bugs
Is it moving with no filament?
Re: extruder and bugs
on the x motor test no filament but with the calibrating pattern on the E motor yes there was filament in it and it did the pattern correctly but nothing came out of the extruder on the E motor. Tried to move the extruder on manual position with option E extrude and E extract with no filament at the right temperature 210 degres and bed 95 degres and nothing move
Re: extruder and bugs
ok I tried too on X motor with filament and it's ok it works on X motor in manual mode but not on E motor

Re: extruder and bugs
Swap x motor driver(A4988) with extruder motor driver, check if x motor can move.
Re: extruder and bugs
I already did all those things all stepper works well on X motor port but no one works on E motor port and all the test were done at extruder temp 210 and bed 95
