End stop problem Prusa I3 pro B + GT2560

Post by Anehall »

Hi!

Got a problem with my Geeetech Prusa I3 pro B with GT2560 and Ramps 1.4.

Seems like the end stop for Z-axis is broken or something... When i use Pronterface or the LCD I can move X and Y axis back and forth with no problems... But when I try to control Z axis there are two different problems:

1: I can only go upwards and every time i try to go down it says: End stop hit Z:1.0mm. If i repeat the process by going up again and try to go down I get: End stop hit Z:2.0mm. Repeating again and up goes as it should but down i get: End stop hit Z:3.0mm. And so it continues all the way up to the highest point... its like the end stop is moving but its firmly installed...

If i knock on the Electric Component "End stop" it sometimes Changes its behavior...

2: Now I can go up +1mm and back down -1mm... Even go up +10mm and back down -10mm... But i cant go beneath the starting point even if its not touching the end stop...

Tried reinstalling firmware but it doesnt help... Checked my assembly and the connections on the board and everything is as its supposed to be (got the end stops connected at the x,y and z-min ports). The wiring seems good to... My conclusion is that the end stop itself is broken... Can that be the case?

Thanks

Fredrik

hi,Can three axis auto home correctly .
maybe z endstop wire is loose or not in a good contact.if i upplug the endstop wire, the z axis could only move far away from endstop.
or you can do some test to werify endstop itself.pressing home button in repetier host, then pressing z endstop manually before it hit the endstop.
