Need help with Calibration

I have an i3X and I managed to assemble it, but I have a hard time calibrating it since that's where the instructions ended.

I figured out that the axis move like this:


Is that how it's supposed to be? I'm confused because the end-stops for y and z are at the minimum posititons, but for x it's at the maximum position (left).

Also: Is there a way to make an axis move beyond the home position? I set the home-position somewhere and now I can't get the z axis to move down anymore. just up and down the little bit from where home was set. Do I have to screw it all the way down manually or can I somehow force it to go beyond it's limit?

Nope, X axis min is left not right. And you're right about Y and Z axis.
When you click home button, all the axis will move towards the endstop position, trigger it and then go back for about several milimeters.
So regards to the I3 X, after homing the extruder will stay at the lower left corner of your printer, which is X/Y/Z Min position.

Thanks a lot for clearing that up! (and for the link too!). Is there an easy way to invert that axis? Like in the menu on the device or by changing some cables? Or do I have to alter the firmware - I'm a bit scared of that, because then I might have to change all sorts of things to get it to work again? Or will I have to change all sorts of things in the firmware anyway?

Don't worry, it's easy to change the motor direction in the firmware, check this link here:

And if you don't home your printer, all the axis will only go in one direction, I think that's the problem of your Z axis. After homing you'll work it out.

Thanks a lot! I manged to get all the axis moving correctly and auto-home now works as expected.

No I'm stuck at the next step I managed to put in some filament and I managed to slice an object, but I just can't seem to get the ABS to stick to the hotbed plus it comes out all wavey. Is 100 deg not hot enough for it to stick? Is there a place where I can look up the best values for each kind of filament for my Prusa I3 X?

how about use some glue on the bed before printing, I use the Ausbond water glue for ABS.
And have you leveled the bed?
