auto-leveling mechanism

On my G2S Pro mini, the auto-leveling mechanism doesn't work reliably.
There is too much friction in the hole/metal piece the pin slides in. Getting the pin in was hard - seems it was thicker at one end.
So probing works in the middle, but when moving to the edges it gets stick resulting in motor overload and having to do an emergency abort - not good :-(
Is the mechanism normally this bad or was the parts I got just out of specs (possibly because they are painted in this silver type paint.
The pin should move absolutely parallel up and down with almost no friction. I did add a drop of oil to help it along, but to no avail.
Order #20160305143654686
Also I got M5x16 screws instead of M4x16 screws in bag #25

Thanks,

Finn

how about use sandpapers to polish it a little?

Yes I've done that already, but there's still too much friction. Sanding it more (which I may already have done) would/will make it wobble to much at one point causing the problem I have.
The problem is when the printer head goes down in an angle, the force on the probe is applied on one side, causing it to get stuck.
I guess it's the surface of the aluminium parts that are to rough. Steel against steel would have worked or steel against a nylon bushing, but not steel against aluminium.

Hoping to get something that works from geeetech or else I will have to spend xx hours mounting a better mechanism (and doing a review..)

If anyone has any suggestions of another mechanism to put on it, I would appreciate hearing about it.
