M201 Extruder not working properly

Post by Kimbleos »

The #2 filament is not feeding on any % mixture. Confirmed both stepper motors working properly. Re-installed both filaments, both extruded normally manually. Started print job and got one half of the line white and one half of the line black (at 50-50 mix). This continued for the first layer, then the #2 (white) filament would not feed anymore nor could I physically push it through (when I tried the black quit flowing). With no movement of filament, the stepper motors wheel carves a dent in the filament. Print continues but it looks as though the line is not as full as it should be, not flowing together as it did when the #2 filament was feeding properly. Have had this problem from the beginning, but now know it is being caused by the hot end not accepting the #2 filament as it should. Have re-installed the filaments and checked for blockage many times, always comes back to the #2 filament not being accepted by the hot end when printing. (Note that it did feed for the first layer but then stopped being accepted by the hot end.) Please help. Thought when it was extruding the color would have been gray, not one side white and one side black.
