I3 Aluminum PLA Jamming

Post by Jaytronics »

I have tried for days now to be able to extrude reliably. I have 3mm filament through a 0.5mm nozzle. I can heat the hot end upto 210 degrees and extrude 100mm via Repetier without problem. If I then leave it for a few seconds and try to extrude another 100mm the extrude jams up and the stepper just clicks. I have tried all the suggestions on this forum and it still jams.

The voltage seems normal, but suggest you lower it down to about 1.0V.
And how aobut the PTFE tube inside the hotend threaded tube, could it be damaged?

Hi Mark,

There is no PTFE liner in the hotend. I assumed all 3mm hotends had no PTFE ??

Oh yeah, you're right, there's no PTFE tube inside the 3mm hotend. That's weird...how about the filament, could it has a quallity issue?
