Z-axis copper nut m8 pitch 2???

Hello,

I am rebuilding my greeted axcryl to aluminium and so far everything is clear , but there is one thing I don't get is the Z-axis cupper nut I read everywhere pitch 2mm but a normal nut pitch 1,25 is fitting on the same axis ..... so why is the pitch 2mm???
