Just assembled my brand new M201.

Trying to challenge mu i3 pro C which is working like a charm but with a limited printing volume.

Everything worked as expected untit I tried to upgrade in V1.0.5.

Board is the new/last GTM32 VB.
-> connecting, putting jumper, loading and verifying FW loaded in the board is working well.
but... Display stay with 2 lines of block without giving me back the control using the button.

After some research and thanks to the forum :
-> loading last .bin version (1.0.4, available in a separate post) with 8002000 as parameter + erase global memory
AND afterwards
-> loading bootloader 1.0.1.bin address 8000000 erase only used memory
is gving me back the control on the printer (display + button working as expected)

Stay one question, how could I upload the V1.0.5.hex (last version) and make it works ?

Updating by uploading it with address 8000000 (grayed no passibility to change) and erase only used memory page doesn't work

All idea / suggestions are welcome..

It seems to me that on this forum has been clearly stated that the firmware v 1.0.04 is today the last release,to the controller board GTM32Pro vB. Or maybe I'm wrong and you know something new for me?

What tempted you to upload versions marked v 1.0.05
To which version of the controller's board is firmware marked v 1.0.05

Firmware page is maybe a little bit cryptic

Thanksfully a between bracket "(for GTM32)" is supposed to make the difference between the pro and the "not pro" (too bad, the not pro seems to be more powerful than the pro.

A new user must know his hardware and be able to identify it correctly.

Fortunately, when you have GT branded products, it is not difficult.
Each controller board is legibly signed. You just need to look for the signature and read it.

At the turn of the century, when the M201 was manufactured, its controller board was improved.
The first produced unit - it was a few years ago, had a different controller than the M201 sold now.

If you look at it carefully and do not act in a hurry, you will understand.
Otherwise, you will make more mistakes in the future.

I guess you have a GTM32 Pro vB controller model.
