Printer stops randomly
Printer stops randomly
Hi
I bought an acrylic geeetech I3 printer from ebay store. I have constructed and everything seems to be fine, except that the printer stops randomly while printing. I think that probably baudrate failure and the printer can't communicate with repetier. The baudrate value is 25000. How i manage to decrease this value ? The printer has a sanguinololu board. I'm waiting for a possible solution.
Thnx and greetings

Re: Printer stops randomly
Hi,iron7
Baud rate is 250000. Maybe the communication between repetier and printer is not so good, please confirm USB cable is well plugged. Sometimes, when you run so many missions on computer, printing will pause and conntinue.

Re: Printer stops randomly
Hi again
I solved the problem by changing the connectivity from usb 2 to usb 3.
Now i'm having a strange printing issue, the print starts fine and while is been in progress, the printer seems to lose coordinates.
Slicer is causing this ?
Please check the attachment and give me a possible solution.
Thanks

Re: Printer stops randomly
Slicer is one of the factors, you can refer to this page to set it:

I think there is another reason can cause bad printing. Somewhere of the filament must be stuck when printing (I don't mean the nozzle is jammed), so the extruder motor has not enough power(even it reaches maximum power) to pull the filament. Please make sure the filament can be pulled by extruder smoothly.

Re: Printer stops randomly
Sorry for my untimely post, i plugged the lcd screen to try an offline print to find if slicer causing this trouble and lcd shows strange incomprehensible symbols. I took a look in this forum for a possible solution but nothing helpful

Re: Printer stops randomly
Thanks for sending the firmware, the lcd worked, but the print issue that printer loses coordinates still remains even i changed slicer settings and extruder seems to work properly

Re: Printer stops randomly
Maybe it is microstep issue.
If your stepper driver is A4988, please make sure all the jumper caps(12 in all) have been well plugged under each A4988.
If your stepper driver is DRV8825, you need to plug only jumper cap to the pins beside "MS3".
