G2/G2S

Post by Wolff »

I built 4 I3's so far and feel that I got a bit of experience. Now, I got a G2S and just completed it last week. I installed Repetier Host and it does connect but I can get nothing !!! to move and only the bed heater is working. Not even the fans are spinning. The power supply is switched on and connected!! I reloaded the USB driver and the G2S firmware but no change. I emailed Geeetech but no response so far. Maybe somebody in the forum has an idea. Can it be a dead board?
Thanks

Hi,
Maybe there was a problem about the PSU...cuz you said the fans didn't work.I think you'd better test the DC output of your PSU.Did your LCD display something without the USB cable when you powered on?

My PSU shows 12V and I tried a different on without success. The G2S show "ready" with and without PSU.

Hi,
Try to use a jumper cap to connect the "JP2" connector, and tell me how it goes.Look the "JP2" in the following picture:
