We use the I3
After following your instructions, we can now see the LCD screen and we are also able to control the X, Y and Z motor from the manual control tab. Thank you very much!
Since the X motor moves in the opposite way in the manual control tab, we inverted the moving direction in the “Printer setting”.
After resetting, when we move the X motor to any place (position), it will be the start point (“0”) and NOT go into the “negatives side” (right), which isn’t a problem, but when we start the “printing”, the X motor goes into the “negatives side” (Right –Face to LCD) all the way and it will not stop unless we press the emergency stop” or “Maximum stop switch” -even when the X motor started on the end of left side (maximum? – Face to LCD). We have to press the X motor “Maximum stop switch” for it to stop, then the Y and Z motors will keep moving. The Z motor will touch the bed and bounce up and down a couple times then go up 5 mm and stop. The screen then displays that it is “heating…”, but the extruder and bed aren’t heating up.

Did you have the right connection of the extruder thermistor and the heatbed thermistor???Double check it as the following link shows:

Attach a video if necessary.

Re: Printing issue
Dear Helper,
We took a video for the printer problem.
The first part (~ 4-5 seconds) show that the printer can be control using a PC (X; Y and Z). After that, we select "Print", we can see the "nozzle" (the x-axle) moving to the end of the right. The belt shakes for a few seconds, and then everything moves to "start point". It stopped at X=0, Y=0, and Z=5. Then, it completely stops and there is no heating at all (although it shows the target to be 200 degrees).

There are 3 issues in total.
1)About the extruder hiting the right end, you'd better finish the installation and test of your endstops before you start a test of your motors.See if the post is helpful to you:
http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 18&t=17883
2)The connection of heatbed's thermistor
I think you'd better check if there is a open circuit in the circuit related to heatbed's THERMISTOR(wires for the thermistor.),cuz the following LCD pic suggests the heatbed's temp isn't been detected by the motherboard. 3)Hot end and heat bed not heating up
Check if the two heating wires(the heating wire of heat bed and extruder) are correctly connected.

Re: Printing issue
Thank you for your response.
I still have question about the first answer. The "endstop" is on the LEFT side! -- There is no place to put it on the right side? Did I build the machine (X axle) the opposite way?

Re: Printing issue
Nope, the X axis home is on the left right,it must be stay there.Sounds like your X motor has a wrong direction, and you modified it in the "printer settings" on the LCD controller panel, but when you powered it on again,it made no difference,right?abc2016 wrote:Thank you for your response.

So,i wanna ask if you "Store Memory" in "Control" after you modified the parameter?

Re: Printing issue
Dear William
Thank you very much for the instructions. Now, the “No heating” issue has been solved!
You are right: the way the x-axle moves in the wrong direction is a problem. It moves to the opposite direction of the “control panel”. We tried reversing the x-axle. However, even without reversing it, the extruder still bumps into the RIGHT side and makes the belt shake. (video in earlier message)
We MAY "store memory" in "control" after modifying the parameter, - after selecting "invert directions in control for x-axis", there is an "Apply" and an "OK" button (does it mean it stored the memory?). Could you please give us more details on how to do it the right way? Is there a way to reset the "default setting" (just in case something has been changed)? I attached the setting seen under "printer". Also, please note that we may have touched the LCD control panel some time during the installation, but after that, we have never used it.
There is also another problem: the machine could "start" to print, but the filament could not begin moving (feeding into the nozzle). Only a little bit gets out at the very beginning. And the nozzle keeps moving without "print". --- Sorry, the video did not include the filament (about 3 inch inside).
In summary, there are three questions I'm asking right now:
1) The x-axle moves in the opposite direction and after selecting "print", the extruder hits the RIGHT side and causes the belt to shake.
2) The filament could NOT auto-feed into the nozzle. How do I trouble shoot this?
3) How (or when) do I use the "bed heat", and do we need to keep it turned on all the time? (it can be manually on and off)
Thank you very much for your help!

Re: Printing issue
1.About the wrong motor direction,i'm afraid you have to modify it in the firmware, here you can find something useful:

2.About extruder not working, refer to the following tips:
http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 19&t=17097
3.About the bed heating, you can set it in slicer settings, which is used in the printing process to make the object to stick to the bed, then it will heat up automatically when you're printing:
