Extruder thermistor not working

Post by trencapins »

I received the Prusa X and I have finished the assembly. The machine seems to work fine except for the extruder thermistor. This thermistor is not working. I have checked it is not a problem of the electronic board, since it works fine if I connect instead the hot bed thermistor.
I can see the broken wire.
Commercial assistance has asked me to post my problem in this forum

Hi,
You said
I can see the broken wire.
Could you take a picture of it and the status of LCD?
And have you tried fixing it?

And in the following video you can see the thermistor fails, there is a wrong crimping of the wire:

The thermistor cable is too loose, which make the thermistor has no a good connection to the heating block, and you can tighten it with tape.
