Hi Guys,
I got this Hotend http://www.geeetech.com/reprap-hot-end-v20-with-035mm-04mm-nozzle-p-685.html
With my Aluminimum Reprap Prusa i3 Kitset.
But it really does not extrude well.
Is the kitest supposed to have a Fan?
Nothing is in the kitset.
Or should it work better with this one? http ...

Re: Prusa I3A bad printing
I have a similar problem.
I think it is the step calculation in firmware.
Geeetech should provide these settings for each kit.
Define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT
or at least enough info so we can calculate it from this calculator: http://prusaprinters.org/calculator/#stepspermmlead

Are all kitset manuals incomplete? My Aluminimum i3 Kitset was the same. Your website sale say everything is included but really these kitsets are only for the parts. Right?

Re: Require full Prusa I3 Aluminium Kit Assembly Instruction
Hi,
I tried testing my printer but the motors go opposite directions and other issues.
I now understand that I have to upload new FIRMWARE to the RAMPS 1.4 printer control board. So it learns which way to turn the motors etc.
Is there a default file with all the default settings already in place ...

Re: Require full Prusa I3 Aluminium Kit Assembly Instruction
Hi,
Yes the photos were a good help. The Dupont wire was not in the kit so I had to order some from a local supplier.
Did anyone send the missing LCD controller? Can you check for me please.
Thank you for all your help.
My printer is looking very good now.
Regards Lee

Re: Require full Prusa I3 Aluminium Kit Assembly Instruction
Thank you this has been a big improvement.
Did you also send the replacement LCD as promised?

It is the only thing missing from finishing my project.
I did notice some small errors in your wiring perhaps.

Re: Require full Prusa I3 Aluminium Kit Assembly Instruction
Hi,
A couple more questions.
1. I think I must cut the white plug off the 12vDC power, strip and screw into board directly? As the photo you show can't be the same board design as in the kit for Ramps 1.4... correct?
2. The 2x Z Axis stepper motors, the white plugs to connect to the Ramps board ...
