Re: Temperature problems

I have installed a 480W PSU. The voltage is stable now. But the problem is the same!
Actually the printer is heating up for more than 30 minutes and does not complete heating!
I disassembled and reassembled the complete hotend, checked every cable and connector, measured the resistances of every ...

Re: Temperature problems

I measured the voltage at the other printer (A10) under workload while printing.
Its working without problems but the same there. The voltage is going down to 12V.
That would mean both PSU of the printers are defective after only 2 weeks.

Re: Temperature problems

I think I got it.
Measuring under load while heating up bed and nozzle revealed significant voltage fluctuations (12V to 23V).
I think the power suplly is causing the problems.

Now I measured the voltage at the other printer (A10) under workload (nozzle 250°C, bed 85°C).
The voltage looks stable ...

Re: Temperature problems

I did pid autotune several times up to 240°C.
And while autotune runs the hotend heats up to the desired temperature without problems.
But after that I always have the same problem. The heat process is taking very long time and quits with an error message.
What I already did/tried:

1. Measured ...

Re: Temperature problems

Its getting more and more strange.
I measured the power supply and can't find anything wrong.
The same to the voltage and resistance of the hotend.
Always when heating up to 220°C from 180°C to 200°C it will get more and more slow and quits with an error message.

But when autotuning the pid it will ...

Temperature problems

Slowly I despair with the A10M. After everything is calibrated fine now the extruder makes problems problems with heating up.
The heating process is getting slower and slower and more often it quits with an error message "heating failed..."
First it came at temperatures over 230°C but now I can't ...

Re: Problems with printing PETG

I will check that! But how can I calibrate it when it won't be correct?
I used ABS filament before with the same settings, apart from temperature and speed and I had no problems.
By using PETG it seems like a lot less comes out, as it is not that viscous.

Re: Problems with printing PETG

The diameter of the filament is 1,759mm (+-0,02mm).
What do you mean with calibrating the extruder for this type of filament?
At the printer there are no options to calibrate filament.
Only in the slicing software there are options to specify values for filament, and they seem to be ok.

Re: Issue with 2nd filament

I have a similar problem with my new A10M and the second feeder (E1).
The filament seems to stuck sometimes, you can hear some clicking noises than.
The gear rasps some notches into the filament and won't be pushed into any further.

The other feeder works without any problems ...

The settings for the filament seems to be ok.
