Problem_Manual Extrusion Speed
Problem_Manual Extrusion Speed
I am using Pro C dual extruder with Repetier-Host. I have problem with manual extrusion rate. Even though I have put the same manual extrusion speed but when tries with both extruders I find that, extruder 1 is much faster than extruder 2. I mean, the rpm of first extruder is much (nearly double) than second extruding motor. But they should be at same speed if I use same manual extrusion speed. right? Please have a look on attached photo, Printer settings > Manual Extrusion Speed > 5 mm/s. I am also confused why there are two fields? Are they for two extruders? first field is for extruder 1 and second is for extruder 2? is it? Please clarify me. Thank you so much for your time and efforts.

Re: Problem_Manual Extrusion Speed
I think the first one is for the normal extrude speed and the second one is for the fast extrude speed:
The speed for the two extruders are the same, maybe you need to check the jumper caps under the extruder connectors, are they the same?Re: Problem_Manual Extrusion Speed
Thanks Mark, I bought the system directly from Geeetech and thew board came as assembled (jumper caps, A4988 etc.). So, I didn't check those. Just now I checked and took the photo of jumper caps of both extruders. Could you please have a look on it and comment if the jumper caps are okay or not? I see, they are little different. Thanks again.

Re: Problem_Manual Extrusion Speed
using 1/16 microstepping with 4988, they should be all plugged in, so the jumper caps are correct. Then I think you need to check two things:1) swap the two drivers of the two extruders, see if the speed will change between them too. If so then one of the driver might be defective. 2) check the pads under the driver connectors, see if there's some bad contact or solderings. Or the jumper caps, could they have a bad contact?
Re: Problem_Manual Extrusion Speed
Hello Mark, I have figured it out. The problem with jumper caps. I changed with different motors, drivers and found that the problem remains. Then I unplugged jumper caps from X and Y, and plugged in Extruder 1 & 2 then found they have now same speed. Great. Now, I need to replace the problematic jumper caps. Would you please suggest me if Geeetech sells them?
By the way, I sent a message to Geeetech-sales asking if I can buy some wire-to-board connectors from Geeetech. But they didn't respond. Would you please able to suggest me, where can I buy the following wire-to-board connectors to use with GT2560 board?
PH 2.00mm-3 Pin
XH 2.54mm-2 pin
XH 2.54mm-4 Pin
Thank you very much again for your continuous help.

I find the ocnnectors and jumper caps here:

Maybe the sales are too busy with work, try to send them a message again.
