I've been having pretty good results so far, but I'm having a problem with PLA filament oozing from the nozzle during moves, which causes build up on parts and excessive stringing.
I'm using the standard settings, but have changed the retraction distance to 4mm and extrusion multiplier to .95.
Here's a video of an example:

If anything, the problem seems to be getting worse. I've tried a new nozzle and raising/lowering the temperature, but without any success.
Is it possible that the filament is bad? Or is there something else I can tune?

Re: I3 Pro B - oozing
Looks like it wasn't the nozzle caused this.Set the extrusion multiplier to .9.And lower the temp if possible, and increase the retraction(it is enough high,i think...),change another file to print if you're printing the same object, sometimes it's the model problem itself. If they dont work, have a try to change the filament.grandaspanna wrote:I've been having pretty good results so far, but I'm having a problem with PLA filament oozing from the nozzle during moves, which causes build up on parts and excessive stringing.

Re: I3 Pro B - oozing
Thanks - I'm trying lower temperatures progressively. However, I've found first layer needs to be hotter to stick consistently, so I'm doing first layer higher then switching to a lower temperature for remaining layers.
I'll post up some photos soon. I'm using a model that emphasises this. Maybe I won't get it perfect, but hopefully improve it.
Cheers!

Here's a photo of the results with different temperatures. There are two rows of 195 because I used two different filaments.
