Hi,
I am new to this 3D printing world, having just retired from IT, and am quite confused with what is what.
I have a i3 Pro C (dual extruders) with GT2560, and a BLTouch. I haven't attached the BLTouch yet, as I want the printer to produce an object before I start messing with the hardware and firmware.
I have never seen such an array of uncontrolled, versionless, software. How do you know what is the correct one for you.
My questions are:
1. Where do I get the latest firmware for the printer - this thread points to firmware that is dated 2015. Is that really the latest?
2. If I update Marlin to the latest version, I will lose all the Pro C settings - Is there a way of just adding the settings like a "cut and paste" ?
3. I am using Repetier and Slic3r & Marlin and Arduino. Do I NEED any other software (apart from Fusion, Blender, TinyCAD, etc.)? I am assuming that all the other software I have seen is just other peoples favourites - Cura, Easy Print, Icarus, Octave.

Regards,
Paul

Hi FishMan,

This is the last firmware for the I3 Pro B with 3d touch sensor and it works great with the help of NiklasO !

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=18437

Maybe some modifications are needed for you printer version "dual extruders"'

Hello,

Just an important informations ! If you plan to use the last modified firmware, You must modify the maxtemp features for the extruder, because if you plan to print ABS, the printer will stop and make an error !
The max temp settings in the last marlin firmware modified for 3d Touch sensor by NiklasO is 250°C
On the original Geeetech firmware this value is set to 275 °C !!!

So just replace 250 by 275 and you will be ok to print ABS !
The min temp is also affected but I haven't change this value....

Hello
There is some information about developing a new firmware update for the Rostock 301 (GTM32PRO board)???
There is a possibility to add a Z probe for Self Levelling???
My Rostock 301 works well, but almost every day i have to make a small calibration (0,1-0,2mm done with the OFFSET in the LCD menu)... but if i can mount a self calibration levelling... No more Calibration!!! :D :D :D

The files you provide are wrong.
I have an i3c pro C printer with firmware 1.0.02,
I am updated with the firmare you provide on the web and now the version that appears is the Marlin 1.0.
And worse the x-axis direction has been reversed, disabling the printer   .
